PhazFit ("the App," "we," "us") is developed by PhazFit. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it's used, and your choices. PhazFit is designed to keep your data on your device wherever possible.
Apple Health (HealthKit). With your permission, PhazFit reads your body weight from Apple Health to sync your progress, and writes your weight, calories consumed, and active energy back to Apple Health so all your fitness data stays in one place. This data stays within Apple Health and your device — PhazFit does not upload your HealthKit data to any server.
Camera. PhazFit uses your camera only to scan food barcodes for quick nutrition logging. No photos or video are stored or transmitted; the camera is used solely to read the barcode.
Profile & Goal Information. Information you enter during onboarding (e.g., age, weight, height, activity level, goals, equipment, injuries/limitations, schedule preferences) is used to generate your personalized plan and is stored locally on your device.
Nutrition & Workout Logs. Meals, macros, workouts, and habit-checklist entries you log are stored locally on your device to power your daily tracking, charts, and progress views.
PhazFit uses Anthropic's Claude AI to power several features, including:
To do this, relevant text you provide (such as a meal description, workout summary, or your profile/goal details) is sent securely to a server we operate (a Cloudflare Worker) and forwarded to Anthropic's API for processing. This data is used only to generate the requested response and is not used by us to build advertising profiles. Please review Anthropic's privacy policy for how Anthropic handles data sent to its API.
When you search for foods, PhazFit queries the USDA FoodData Central database to retrieve nutrition information. Search terms are sent to USDA's public API; no personal identifiers are included in these requests.
PhazFit does not require an account, does not collect your name, email, or contact information, and does not sell or share your personal data with advertisers. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Your profile, logs, and plan data are stored locally on your device. AI requests are transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. If you delete the App, your locally stored data is removed from your device (Apple Health data you've previously synced remains in the Health app per Apple's policies).
PhazFit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
You can disable Health, Camera, or Notification permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Disabling these permissions may limit certain features (e.g., barcode scanning or Health sync) but the App will continue to function for manual tracking.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
